Tejas Borja’s Solar Roof Tiles present at Hispalyt’s Technical Seminar

On March 7th, our colleague Jaime Pascual from the Group Edilians prescription department participated in the Technical Conference on Photovoltaic Tile Roofs: Integrated Systems, Installation, and Works, organized by Hispalyt. He delivered a prominent presentation on solar tiles. The event, which took place both in person and online, gathered industry experts to discuss innovations in roofing and sustainable solutions.

During his presentation, Jaime detailed the advantages of photovoltaic integration in roofing, emphasizing how the combination of design, functionality, and sustainability can transform the construction sector. He introduced the advanced solutions from Tejas Borja, highlighting the solar solutions offered by Tejas Borja, such as the SOLAR Flat-5XL Tile, the SOLAR Flat-10 Tile, and the ERI System. These solutions enable simple and safe installation, ensuring energy efficiency without compromising architectural aesthetics.

Tejas Borja’s solar tiles represent an evolution in roofing, offering a solution that maximizes the use of solar energy without disrupting the visual harmony of buildings. Thanks to their seamless integration with traditional tiles, these solutions are ideal for both new construction projects and roof renovations.

The Hispalyt conference was an excellent opportunity to share knowledge and advancements in the sector. In addition to Jaime’s presentation, the event featured other professionals who addressed key topics in the evolution of the construction and renewable energy sectors.

For those who were unable to attend the event live, the presentation recording is available on YouTube. You can watch the full presentation at the following YouTube link.

At Tejas Borja, we continue to invest in innovation and sustainability within the construction sector. We thank Hispalyt for the opportunity to share our advancements and all the attendees for their interest in our solar tile solutions.

Tejas Borja celebrates the rehabilitation and sustainability in Hispalyt’s Roof Tile Architecture Awards 2021-2023

premiosHispalyt

It is exciting to announce that Tejas Borja has, once again, been a protagonist in the Roof Tile Architecture Awards 2021-2023, organised by Hispalyt. This event recognises excellence in architecture through the use of ceramic tiles.
The jury of this edition, composed of renowned professionals of the sector, awarded the prizes in the three categories: New Construction, Refurbishment and the new category of Sustainability with Tile. We are proud to have collaborated on the winning projects that stand out for both their innovative design and their commitment to sustainability.

Rehabilitation Award:

  • Project: A new life for Mas Carpi (Una nueva vida para Mas Carpi)
  • Studio: Estudi NUA (Arnau Tiñena Ramos, Ferran Tiñena Guiamet, Maria Rius Ruiz)
  • Photography: José Hevia
  • Roof tile manufacturer: Tejas Borja

The rehabilitation project has restored and replaced the structure with local stone and laminated wood, adding a Flat-10 Red ceramic flat tile roof. They have also added improvements in lighting, ventilation and photovoltaic solar panels. This intervention has sought to preserve the essence of the old building and its relationship with the landscape, using natural materials and passive bioclimatic strategies.

Sustainability Award:

  • Project: Alfacs
  • Studio: Bajet Giramé and JAAS (Maria Giramé Aumatell, Pau Bajet Mena, Manuel Julià)
  • Photography: Joan Guillamat
  • Roof tile manufacturer: Tejas Borja

The transformation and renovation project involving two central buildings with visible C-50.21 Celler Shaded White curved tile pitched roofs, bungalows, a swimming pool, and new built terraces creates an environment of comfort and sustainability. With a focus on thermal inertia and the use of local materials, the project has revitalised the campsite, integrating natural and architectural elements that respect and enhance the coastal landscape, offering a unique and ecological experience for visitors.

While we celebrate and congratulate the teams involved and recognised for their projects, we underline the importance of the Hispalyt Roof Tile Architecture Awards as the biennial competition promoted with a double purpose: on the one hand, to value the architectural production of our country that uses ceramic tiles and, on the other, to seek a greater dissemination and social repercussion of the most significant works built during the corresponding period. It should be noted that, in the six editions held, several projects awarded for their architecture, design and use of roof tiles have used Tejas Borja ceramic roof tiles. This reaffirms our commitment to excellence and innovation in the sector.

2nd Edition Ceramic roof tiles Arquitecture Prize

Reales Atarazanas-I-tejas

The 1st Ceramic Architecture Prize has been granted for the first time in 2014, to the rehabilitation project of the “Atarazanas de Barcelona”, of the architects Roberto and Esteve Terradas. The jury valued the careful rehabilitation of the roof, in this building of cultural use and of great historic value.

In the rehabilitation of the “Royal Atarazanas (Drassanes) of the Port of Barcelona” the ancient look of the roof was achieved by the products of Tejas Borja (Curved Celler® Roof tiles Centenarias®) and special big sized ridges that were glazed in a green color, and were reproduced for the occasion following the same design, regarding both shape and color, as the original ones.
