World Climate Day – Climate change, sustainability and awareness raising
In celebration of World Climate Day, we have participated in conversation about our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection.
At Tejas Borja, we firmly believe that every action counts and that together we can make a difference.
As part of our celebration of World Climate Day, we have decided to take concrete steps to raise awareness and promote action in the fight against climate change. In a gesture of commitment and solidarity, we are giving an umbrella to each member of our team.
World Climate Day – Climate change, sustainability, awareness
This umbrella will not only serve to protect us from the weather, but also symbolises our collective determination to be part of the solution to the challenge of climate change. We want every member of our team to feel the power of their individual contribution and join us in our commitment to work towards a more sustainable future.
Throughout this day, we want to remember the importance of caring for our planet and working together to preserve its beauty and diversity for future generations.
Thank you for being part of this valuable initiative and for your continued support in our mission to create a better world for all.
The main activity of Tejas y Ladrillos del Mediterráneo (Tylmesa) is the manufacture of tiles and ceramic accessories, which are marketed under the brand TEJAS BORJA.
The management system established by both organisations, both environmental (ISO 14001:2015 Certificate), energy (ISO 50001:2018 Certificate) and quality (Product Certificate), aims to continue improving its management system, ensuring a commitment with the interested parties involved. The main strategic objective of this system is to offer ceramic accessories and tiles products of the highest level, in accordance with the innovation needs of the current market, and ensuring an improvement in our environmental performance, from the point of view of energy efficiency. This policy provides the framework for setting and reviewing strategic objectives and targets.
In order to fulfil this strategic commitment, the following principles are established:
Transmit the Policy of the management system through the different existing communication channels, thus making it available to the relevant interested parties. Establish specific objectives that allow the continuous improvement of the energy performance and the energy management system, as well as the environmental system with the reduction of environmental impacts. Justify a greater environmental commitment, encouraging active integration and teamwork, through training, awareness, participation and environmental communication, to the entire workforce, extending it to customers, suppliers and external companies. Ensure that measurement and monitoring methods are applied to ensure that the planned results are achieved, based on the analysis from a life cycle perspective. Oversee the creation, review, approval and distribution of required documents, thus complying with applicable legislation and other requirements, related to energy efficiency, energy use and energy consumption, as well as other environmental and quality considerations. Seek alternative methods to minimise waste generation at source, as well as new measures to prevent pollution. To obtain a quality product, which generates the least impact, basing the analysis on a life cycle perspective. Thus meeting the expectations of the interested parties. Respect and fulfil a commitment to environmental protection, including pollution prevention and other specific commitments, ensuring legal limits. Justify the implementation of corrective actions to reduce the generation of non-conformities to support continual improvement of the system. Support design activities that consider energy performance improvement and the procurement of energy efficient products and services that impact energy performance. This is why it is necessary to ensure the availability of information and resources necessary to meet the objectives and goals, both in terms of quality, environment and energy.
