Tejas Borja exhibits at the largest and most established construction event in the GCC., BIG 5 Dubai 2019.

The Big 5 Dubai is a 4 day event being held from 25th November to the 28th November 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, United Arab Emirates. This event showcases products like The Big 5 in Dubai has been home to the largest gathering of construction professionals in the Middle East.

Tejas Borja is a family business in Spain. In 2018, Tejas Borja becomes the first company in the sector to use Inkjet printing in the industrial production of ceramic rooftiles. A flagship company in the innovation and improvement of clay rooftiles. Nowadays, able to manufacture the largest ceramic roof tile ever made.

For the sixth consecutive year, Tejas Borja participates at The Big 5 Dubai in the Spanish Pavilion organized by ICEX. At booth SS2 A90 (Hall Sheikh Saeed), we will show the latest developments in terms of roof tiles, finishes and roof components.

BORJATHERM wins at the 13th NAN AWARDS 2019

Tejas Borja won the Best Construction Materials Prize for BORJATHERM at the NAN 2019 awards.

TPI and NAN Arquitectura y Construcción crecently organized the Architecture and Construction Awards for their thirteenth consecutive year, an industry awards ceremony which has become an annual flagship event for the sector.

A total of 150 professionals from the architecture and construction industries attended the thirteenth edition of the NAN Awards. The ceremony, held in the Esferic in Barcelona on 12 November, also allowed the finalists in all the categories to meet up with members of the jury, the awards’ sponsors and diverse actors from the sector.

At the ceremony, Tejas Borja received the first prize of the night in the category of Best Construction Materials in Insulation, waterproofing and paint for its high-efficiency insulation system for roofs,BORJATHERM, a prize sponsored and presented by BigMat. Our Sales Manager for Catalonia, Eduard Monés, accepted the prize on behalf of the company.

The NAN Awards once again recognised the work carried out by Tejas Borja in recent years in the area of product innovation and energy efficiency. Tejas Borja wishes to take this opportunity to congratulate all the winners and finalists for their efforts to offer the best materials to the building sector. We would also like to give special thanks to the event organizers, its prestigious jury and its sponsors.

A jury of the highest calibre

If anything distinguishes the NAN Architecture and Construction Awards it is their diverse and highly-qualified jury who decide the award recipients. In this edition the head of the jury was Lluís Comerón i Graupera, the President of the Consejo Superior de los Colegios de Arquitectos de España, and its members included architects such as Rafael de La-Hoz, Jose María Tomás-Llavador and Patxi Mangado, in addition to other great professionals. From the construction sector, representatives of the largest building companies in Spain, such as Ferrovial, OHL, FCC and Dragados, also sat on the jury.

Quality in the building world, the backbone of the 13th NAN Awards

José Manuel Galdón Brugarolas, Managing Director of TPI, had the task of welcoming the attendees and recognising the 234 nominations which included construction materials and architectural projects. He said that all of them demonstrated <<the importance of investing in energy efficiency and innovation, the need to reform our existing buildings, the inevitability of integration of buildings into their surroundings, the latest developments in interior design and the importance of Spanish architecture overseas>>.

Dutch students visit Tejas Borja

This week we received the visit of a group of 30 students from the Netherlands, organized through Route 66 Idiomas (Valencia). We were able to present the business model of Tejas Borja Company and the manufacturing lines of our ceramic tiles. As part of the visit, the students have attended a company presentation were they showed great interest both for the organization of the company as for Tejas Borja products offered in the catalogue. They have also made a tour around our factory to learn about the manufacturing process of ceramic tiles.

Thank you Route 66 Idiomas for making us part of the experience of foreign students who come to study and learn about Spain and Spanish language. We are proud to be part of the Spanish industries learning program of Route 66 Idiomas.

On Thursday, November 13th at 23:45 hours, TVE emits HOW IT’S MADE (MADE IN SPAIN) a program about manufacturing ceramic roof tiles.

Tejas Borja shows through this report submitted by Ruth Sanz major manufacturing processes of one of the more traditional models of ceramic roof tiles.

Tejas Borja, producer of roof tiles of the highest quality since 1899, meets the needs of the market with a wide range of over 200 profiles of roof tiles and accessories available in 50 finishings with a total of over 4500 possible combinations.

Currently exporting to over 65 countries, Tejas Borja develops and adapts its products to the requirements of each market.
